Metrology

TZÚS Prague in accordance with the Act on Metrology, as amended, provides activities for accredited calibration laboratories (AKL) and authorized metrological centers (AMS).
Gauge calibration is the documentation of the quality level of values measured by gauges in relation to the standard. The proven traceability of the meter is stated in the Calibration Sheet issued by the relevant AKL.
By verifying the specified meters, it is determined whether a particular meter - the so-called specified meter - corresponds with its accuracy to the required metrological properties. The AMS issues a verification sheet confirming that the specified meter complies with the requirements of the relevant standard or regulation. The aim is to ensure security or accuracy for billing, etc.
